Attending Church in the Azores

It's still true.  The gospel is true wherever you are in the world.  We were able to find the local LDS church and attend Sacrament Meeting this morning.  There's just something about partaking of the sacrament that gets you through the week.  The speakers spoke on the need to read the Book of Mormon and make it a priority in our lives and why we shouldn't criticize our church leaders.  Sound familiar?  It's so nice to be able to go pretty much anywhere in the world and be able to attend church where you can feel the Spirit and associate with other members of the gospel.

There are 6 missionaries on the island, 2 sets of Elders and a set of Sister missionaries.  They were busy but we did meet most of them.  This is Elder Nad (right) from Magrath, Alberta and Elder Alpizar from Lehi, Utah.  I'm sure someone in my circle of friends will know one of these Elders.

How would it be to come out of church and have this view?  (This isn't a great picture but that's the ocean out there.)  We also noticed that they don't have basketball hoops in the parking lot but soccer goals instead.  Bring on the futbol!
